Medical Detox
Medical Detox is a process that involves the use of medication and medical supervision to help individuals with substance use disorders safely withdraw from drugs or alcohol. The goal of medical detox is to safely alleviate the physical symptoms of withdrawal, such as nausea, tremors, and seizures, and make the detox process as comfortable as possible. Medical detox is typically the first step in the treatment of substance use disorders and is followed by behavioral therapy and other forms of addiction treatment. A safe monitored medical detox is part of a comprehensive treatment plan and unique care-model at Matthew’s Hope.
Iasis
Iasis Microcurrent Neurofeedback is a non-invasive, drug-free technology that utilizes microcurrent electrical impulses to stimulate the brain and improve brain function. It is based on the principle of neuroplasticity, which is the brain’s ability to adapt and change in response to external stimuli. Iasis Microcurrent Neurofeedback is used to promote healing for a wide range of conditions including depression, anxiety, PTSD, traumatic brain injury and substance use disorders. The treatment is typically performed in a series of sessions, and it aims to re-balance the brain’s electrical activity and improve communication between different regions of the brain. It is believed that this can lead to improvements in cognitive function, mood and overall well-being. Iasis is an essential element of the Matthew’s Hope detox and recovery program care-model.
